SACHETAN’s vision is a blend of its founders’ and members’ concrete experiences, knowledge, attitude, creativity and commitment. The core dream of SACHETAN is: an equal and socially conscious society, composed of educated and capable individuals with healthy minds, bodies and souls.
Our Mission
SACHETAN promotes efforts to impact different strata and segments of society through integrated approaches to create progressive change in society. SACHETAN emphasizes the importance of stimulating young minds, which helps to empower individuals to make conscious choices that impact their own lives. Our work will also enable youth to bridge societal gaps and to contribute to the nation’s development.
Goal and Objectives
SACHETAN wishes to encourage youth to explore their inner self and empower them to bring changes in the lives of people in need. We hope to focus our efforts on empowering children and adolescent girls in the areas of education, art, health, life skills and livelihood. SACHETAN employs a comprehensive set of objectives to achieve its mission, including:
- Conducting research on various issues of socio-economic development, health, education, folk art and literature;
- Exploring new opportunities of capacity building for adolescents, youth, women and children in need;
- Creating opportunities and forums for leadership development among youth and adolescents, to allow them to become responsible citizens;
- Ensuring safe futures for rural and urban slum children and youth by providing opportunities for education, health and skill enhancement;
- Promoting, protecting and educating the public about rural and tribal folk-art;
- Establishing a resource centre to support social development, employment, education, skill enhancement and counselling endeavors;
- Educating youth in science, IT and other technical knowledge;
- Advocating for child rights and women empowerment, environmental protection and biodiversity.
