SACHETAN takes leads from the philosophy of ‘karma’. ‘Karma’ is a Sanskrit word which means ‘action’. We at SACHETAN think of ‘action’ as an ‘activity with intention’….. an intention to bring change; an intention to let a person’s soul grow. According to this philosophy we all have power to change our destiny through our actions.

As an organization, we strive for  providing  positive opportunities for action to the deprived and people-in-need, specially adolescent girls, children and youth. Our hope is that  that the seeds of positive thought, words and deeds (karma/action) can be planted and nurtured to lead to a healthy mind, body and soul for a better future. This trilogy is also the basis of SACHETAN’s logo.

The LOGO:

The logo design is a combination of “Mandana” and “Warli” motifs, which are types of rural-tribal art of India. As per local belief the motifs are made to purify the whole environment. Our logo enshrines the continuity of actions leading to happiness, which is SCAHETAN’s core philosophy. The symbol  of the circle represents the center unity of three different sets of powers which are: (i) mind-body-soul; (ii) knowledge-skill-attitude; (iii) talent-resources-opportunity. It also represents change through transition and growth. The spiral represents the continuity and unending energy reflecting out and inward: this symbolizes growth and expansion of consciousness. The human figures depict joy and happiness, the ultimate aim of SACHETAN.
