Saanjhi

Support Centre

The title ‘Saanjhi’ is derived from the Hindi word saanjh meaning ‘dusk.’ It is also a style of traditional stencilled art from the Braj region of Uttar Pradesh. The art is used to decorate temple walls and floors with saanjhi motifs during festivals in the evening.

The Saanjhi program is meant to be a support centre in the post-rehabilitation of the girls of Nari Niketan and other shelter homes. We aim to support the girls in this new beginning phase of their lives. Saanjhi has approached the girls and has offered its services to be utilized whenever they are needed, in order to help them to restart their formal education, improve their health, or navigate personal issues at home.
