Learn, Create and Exhibit is the purpose of this ongoing (23-25 Jan. 2016) 2nd School Art Exhibition in the city. We are glad to share that we are part of this initiative of Kota Heritage Society to promote art and craft among the school going children, teachers, the school management and the general public of Hadoti Region. Sachetan, as part of this event promoted the issue of plastic waste management through the craft of recycling and redecorating the waste plastic bottles.
How to create an awareness on socially relevant issues among the people, particularly the children, has been always a concern to us and we believe in social function of art. So, we connect through DIY sessions of art and craft on various social issues with children. Similarly, what a child can do or how she or he can creatively contribute in the nation wide ‘swachhata abhiyan’ without the ‘Jhadu.’
Team Sachetan focusing on plastic waste, through its DIY (do it yourself) approach displayed some items of waste plastic bottles crafted by themselves to give an idea to students to think and imagine what can be done of waste plastic bottles , after using them or prior throwing the bottles as waste. Besides, on thespot workshop of crafting waste plastic bottles has given an opportunity to the students and other visitors to play with their imagination and creating something new, beautiful and interesting article from waste plastic bottle.
