Paper mache workshop with designing students at Artans Art Academy. This was another artlab in the series of DIY workshops by Ramji. the students were aware of this paper art but the unique part of the workshop was the preparation of the pulp by the students themselves through traditional method…ingredients as well as tools. They used imam-dasta/khalar-moosal or mortar pastel to make the paper pulp. some of them were totally new to imam dasta ….some have seen in their homes but not knew the name….anyway…it was a workshop in the real sense where every student along with the resource person were engrossed in creating something with paper pulp. The best part of the workshop was it was 5th september and we were with students in the process of learning, doing and understanding ‘art with purpose’ collectively. We thank to Tapesh Mathur who understood the idea and readily accepted to have such workshop for his creative students. Enjoy some of the photographs of the workshop by Ramji.
